Visual inventory
- Ask students to observe the painting very closely for three minutes
Now hide the painting/image
Students will then note down all the elements that they noticed, from the biggest to the smallest
Ask the students to share the details they remembered
Take note of the “wrong” answers without revealing that they are wrong
Point out different opinions
Show the artwork and start over the discussion – what did students miss at their first glance?
